The 2nd Sensor Signal Processing for Defence (SSPD) Conference will be held in London, United Kingdom on 27 - 29 September 2011 and is organised by the University Defence Research Centre (MOD-UDRC) in Signal Processing (MOD) - funded by the U.K. Ministry of Defence (MOD). The purpose of the conference is to provide a public forum for researchers from academia, defence, government and industry to present, exchange ideas and discuss developments in multisensory signal processing.

Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Array Signal Processing
  • Radar, Sonar and Audio Signal Processing
  • Signal Processing for Security
  • Multimodal Signal Processing
  • Sensor Fusion
  • Image and Video Classification
  • Distributed Signal Processing for Wireless Sensor Networks
  • Signal Processing for Communications
  • All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings which will be indexed by Inspec database, IEEE/IEE Xplore and EI Compendex.
    An extended version of the best papers may be considered for publication in a special issue of the IET Signal Processing Journal and the Imperial College Press Book Series in Communications & Signal Processing.
